Summertime is on it's way....
So, I'm looking for a way to "get in shape". I never seem to find the right workout for me. Nothing ever seems to really work.
Build Muscle or Keep Flexibility?
That has been my latest question
here is an article from the Fitness Expert Network
Wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this ...
The name of the blog
Beyond the realm of common sense.....
Since most people these days live in a permanent state of below average intelligence and have virtually no ambition or desire to ever rise above what's expected of them, I can see why some might think that I live "beyond the realm of common sense", and perhaps I do, but, I'm happy there. I much prefer bizarre and eccentric over plain and average.
All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.

Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself.
Harvey Fierstein
If blogging isn't your thing.....
It either is or isn't.
I always resort back to the "if it feels good do it" principal. (within reason of course)
There are always more than one way to skin a cat!

Blogging is a total waste of time!
Or is it?
Why do people feel compelled to pour their hearts out online to God knows who?
Here is a little blip about why people blog
What I think sometimes, is people use a blog, like there own personal newspaper column, they feel it gives them a chance to get their opinion "out there" to wherever.
Some people just have nothing better to do.
Some people have a ton of stuff to do, but, still feel compelled to take a few not so extra moments to write a little blurb about their life.
I have to say, I have about 5 blogs that people know I have, and a few, that are somewhat anonymous. Why would i have that many blogs?
Mostly, I blog, on occasion, instead of going to therapy! Or instead of eating chocolate cake. (which someone brought to me and I'm the only person who's been eating it!)
Probably the main reason I blog is because I have more thoughts in one hour than most people have in a month. Not just totally random thoughts, actually stuff that people have "requested" that I look into for them.
Then, why do I have different blogs? Because I have completely different sets of friends and acquaintances, very few people actually get to see all the facets of my personality.
So, the parents who want to know "how do you do what you do?" i send them to my "homeschool mom" blog, then for the teenagers that tell me I'm the "coolest mom ever, what about this?" i send them to the blog that addresses their age and stage, etc. I've had doctors ask me various questions about how I learned what I've learned, so I send them to a little bit different styled blog.
I have limited "social" time, so even if I do go somewhere, I have to keep up with a lot of little ones, so it's easier to say, "check my blog", when someone wants a detailed answer.
Do people actually read your blogs?
I wondered the same thing, so I put a little tracker code in a few pages of my blogs and yep, I did have people reading my blogs. That was fun to see who really did follow up on what I was doing.
My overall intentions were to someday make some money off of my blogging. I did some research and found out that it does take some time and effort, but, depending on the personality and the amount of good blogging content, people did make money from their blogs.

A Curious Beginning
I have to first and foremost give credit for the idea of this blog, to my friends Reed and Amy, during one of our numerous entertaining conversations, Amy started to ask a question with the phrase, "Beyond the realm of common sense....." I stopped her there and said that would be a cool name, and then Reed said, "for a blog"...
Later that night, I started this blog. Of course that's been a few weeks ago. I've been a little busy.
