Social Media is evolving from an experimental stage of acting and reacting, to one of learning and leading through intelligence, participation, and also publishing. Having social media profiles and posting tweets along with status updates is elementary now. But creating a meaningful presence through the creation and distribution of remarkable content is judicious.
Herein lies the maturation of not only social media, but it’s integration with publishing, marketing and communications. First, business needs to realize that we/they are becoming the media. This is the only way to earn greater relevance and ultimately thought leadership within their respective markets. It’s really the numero uno reason to be social media savvy today.
A blog is a fabulous way to get your publishing up, going and distributed. With a little help from a third-party, even a CEO can be a regular blogger, making connections with consumers and sharing expertise.
We’ve launched this blog for a similar reason. We have ideas, thoughts and a little experience in this social media landscape.
