Looks like the consensus is in– small business will boost involvement in social media in 2010. A recent eMarketer article on small business indicates that close to 36% of small business will step up their use of social media, according to the “Third Annual FedEx Office Signs of the Times Small Business Survey” from FedEx Office and Ketchum.
Almost two out of five businesses state that they will grow their grow through using social media sites Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. So the questions remain; who will manage these new outlets and how can they be used optimally to drive business results? Some will bring in full-time staff to manage new social media strategy initiatives, others will hire third-parties that specialize in leveraging the tools of social media so it drives results. What will you do? We’d like to hear from you.
